It's still a work in progress, but feel free to take a look around!
what i'm working on now:
- I'm current taking 3 computer science classes, along with one 3rd year Japanese class!
- CS440: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
- In this class we are learning to use algorithms in order to manipulate players in a game. Over time we are building up the dificulty of the game (enemies, obstacles), of which we are required to work around. Additionally, we will participate in two coding tournaments, one of which we need to use Alpha-Beta Pruning to play chess.
- CS357: Introduction to Information Security
- In this class we are currently learning how to use different attacks hackers may use to get into secure spaces on the internet. We are implmenting code that bypasses vulnerabilities and hacks into a fake website provided by the professor.
- CS103: Internet Tech and Web Programming
- This class is an introduction into HTML, CSS, and later on, Javascript and React. I wanted to take this class to formally learn about these languages and frameworks, to make sure my code is up to standards in the industry. We recently covered Copyright and how to properly credit sources online.
- I'm starting to apply for jobs in the Boston area! I'm open to on-site, hybrid, or remote work!
My name is Kristine Peters, and I'm a senior in Computer Science at Boston University. Currently, I'm living in the Greater Boston area with my parents, and my dog, Yuki. (if you were a flash nerd in the early 2000s, maybe you know my dad) When I'm not doing homework, or at my part-time supermarket job, I enjoy grabbing a meal with my friends, or being a homebody and playing videogames or drawing! (fun fact, the summer Baldur's Gate 3 came out, I built my own PC just to play it - thankfully I play a lot of other games too) Recently, I've been getting into David Bowie's music and collecting vinyl, my favorite right now being Scary Monsters.
My interest in CS started in my junior year of high school, and I haven't looked back since! I'm the most proficient in C, with varying knowledge in Java and Python, and right now I'm learning HTML, CSS, and a little bit of Javascript. I like coding best in Vim, which you can thank my dad for. In the future I look forward to learning more about cybersecurity as well as AI's role in comprimising that security.
